have been raised (i think) as an upstanding citizen (some think otherwise). we're now on our 2nd vette. for whatever reason i'd like a c5 crossed flags emblem tatoo on my arm. being in the proper management mode, showing ink @ meetings would probably be in poor taste. just wondering if anyone else has gotten corvette ink on them & if you don't mind, where'd you put it? are these expensive? again, have been thinking about this for a while. thanks. bub
I seem to remember that there was a post about a year ago where a member did a C5 Flag Tat. Don't remember who that was but it looked cool. He had it done on his upper arm
A member of our Corvette club and the owner of a 2003 C5 Medium Spiral Grey (Awesome, clean low mileage car) has a C5 crossed flag on his upper arm. Even in short sleeves it can't be seen. I'd say price wise you'd be in the $150-$200 range. As an aside, I am a professional, senior engineering manager. I have three tattoo's. One on my left shoulder, one on my right bicep and one on my right shoulder blade. If I didn't want someone to see them, you'd never know I have them.
Find a reputable tattoo shop, watch their work, especially how they sterilized needles and inks and then, give them a picture of the emblem you want. They will copy it to make what they call a "flash" to mark up your arm (or the pertinent portion of your anatomy). $150-200 is a good price estimate. However, what you gonna do when you fall in love with a Ferrari?
As a "professional" educated management member I had mine cut off. They tried laser but not effective. I got tired of never being able to wear a polo shirt to work for over 20 years. Too much of a negative stigma. I also had outgrown them and didn't think too much of them. Cheap to get on, very expensive to get removed......and painful/messy. Better think hard about your decision. I have a couple of friends with Harley tattoos who no longer care for Harley's. They wish they had never gotten them. People as well as tastes change. BTW, I'm 45. Think very, very, hard. Most people I know regret the choice of their youth.
One of the best things I've ever done was have them removed. I even took my 14 year old son and 16 year old daughter to watch as they cut them off and then sewed my skin back together. I don't think either will be getting a tattoo anytime soon.
Bub, rikhek makes a good point and I should have mentioned it in my post. Think it thru. Forever is a long time. I have never once regretted my tattoo's but I know other's that have. Maybe because I was in my late 20's when I got my first one and it wasn't some impulse as a teenager. Make sure it is what you want, and where you want it. This may sound silly but go get one of those temporary tat's and stick it on where you think you may want one. This will give you a chance to experience life on the other side. It will come off on it's own in 6 or 7 days. Just a thought.

I have three tattoos -- a gator on my right shoulder, an eagle tearing through on my left and crossed flags between my shoulder blades. I'd have to upload pix later as I don't have any on my webspace at the moment.
I wear polo shirts to work all summer long and it's a long summer here in Florida. I wore polo's to work for five years before any of my co-workers knew I had any tat's and then only because I showed them.
I have never regretted any of my tattoos. Didn't get my first one until I was 37. They are not only art to me but each one exhibits a passion of mine.
As another member mentioned, because it is custom you'll need to take an emblem in with you for the artist to work from. I paid right around $150 for mine. Around here they charge based on size and complexity.
Think of your Grandfather with a C2 logo on his arm.
If that's a good image, go for it

My grandfather has a snake and a heart and an ancor. Its pretty badass. i saw go for it their are lots of places you can put it to not be seen at the work place, i was thinking of getting one on my upper sholder off to the right. unless you wear a tank top to work, noone will see it, good luck
