Default My MidAmerica Experience...

So, the gf bought me a Corvette fleece Jacket (may favorite!) and had it sent to her apartment. This was back during thanksgiving. Knowing the holdiay season was around the corner, i assumed shipping would take a while... So, the gf calls up MidAMerica and says, whats up, wheres the package at now? Turns out, it was delivered on 12/8. FedEx just dropped it in the hallway by her door!!! Who does that??? The package NEEDS to be signed for!!! so someone in her ghetto **** apartment probably took it...

soo the gf calls up MidAmerica to see what they can do...They are sending her another jacket, 3 day shipping, to her office this time!

i would like to thank MidAmerica for their help! my gf was soo upset, and i was pissed too.but they made it all better...

Aj

Great job MidAmerica And what's up with FedEx and UPS these days? They drop the box at your door, ring the doorbell and walk away. It's a joke!

The couriers are allowed to drop off packages if there were no incidents (theft of packages) reported in the general area, without signature. However once an incident is reported that area will be deemed signature required.

Lets give those couriers a break, they are doing their job. Its the environment thats changing, cant even leave my vette in a parking lot without fearing of keying, door dings or some kind of stupidity.

Wow, that was pretty cool. I've generally been pretty lucky with MA as well. It sounds like they did the right thing.

Depending on where you are and the value of the package, you can specify "signature required." I live in a nice neighborhood and I still had a sh-t when the UPS guy left my new Gateway laptop by the front door.

If you want to make sure that your package gets to the person you are sending it to specify "signature required". I always take this option, it costs no more and if you have problems you know at least who got the package. Further, when you buy anything, ask the vendor to pick that option also.

Glad to hear MA helped out!!!!!

This is all great to hear! Every vendor has problems one time or another, often well beyond their control. It's how they rectify the problem that shows real character.
