Thanks to everyone who replied. I think I will just leave the stock lights in the car. The more I think about it, being that I now have almost 700 hp to the tires who really sees the front end anyway Maybe I can find a way to make the tail lights blink a morse code signal saying GOOD BYE
Thanks again for your honesty.
Jason
But, I agree with you, so far the aftermarket hasn't made a decent non- pop up.
Got to wonder why - surely the market is there.
Either the quality sucks, or the product sucks, or both
What sucked about them? Those are the ones I want. Aren't they the breathless performance ones the guy was talking about a few posts down from yours?
The fit is horrible, The Brackets are flimsey, The lights suck, The covers are good, The headlight tubs DONT line up, Overall the look is extremely cheap, The instructions are the WORST i've ever seen, The customer service is an absolute joke, All in all, its probably one of the WORST mods I've ever done. And after I spent a total of 1400.00 including paint, I got rid of them. I am NOT a picky person, but these things SUCKED!!!!
Actually I dont know what was worse, My RK Sport hood or the lights?
Naaaaaaa, It was definately the lights. DO NOT waste your money. Its NOT worth it.
I'm still a pop-up fan but I agree with a previous comment that these if any are the best from what's on this thread so far... It probably looks the best because under the glass, you see the color of the body.
The one with three lights is just too involved for the amount of space and the inside in front of the lights is chrome . The one with one square light and one round light just looks unnatural and the one where there's a bulge in the middle leaves something to be wanted too...

I can't comment on the customer service but as for the other issues that you describe, I have not had a problem in the 5 years of owning them. My set fits perfectly. Now if a bulb blows, I may think otherwise since it looks like the company permanently epoxied a bulb within the housing of a sealed beam. I even purchased my set from a forum member who already had them painted the color I wanted so I saved a bundle of $$. I'm sure that people will have good and bad experiences with all kinds of mods
