[Z06] Shifting problems

Shifting problems
Hey, I just picked up a used '02 Z with 12k miles. I drove it home ~500 miles last night. Halfway thru the trip I lost 1st/3rd/5th/reverse. The shifter won't move forward at all. The car has a hurst shifter. I did a search and maybe it could be the aluminum shifting fork recall or did I just buy a car with a bad tranny? It's got a 4 year/75k premium warranty so I'm not worried about the cost but this just really sucks. Also I removed the boot and looked at the shifter. There is a 1 cm bolt head pointing at the 'north' side of the shifter. Is that supposed to be there?

Lock tight them in place or some just leave them out.
they will charge you for this one, better get it out yourself.

The Shift **** and console needs to come out to fix it. Easy Allow an hour first time. They have write-ups here with exact instruction's
minor problem but stops u cold.Do a search or so one will post

Thanks guys..I went and took a look..that's what happend. I've allready taken apart my automatic console before so this shouldn't be that difficult. It's too bad these things aren't a bit more accessible thru the boot.
