Default Trunk Lid Liner Recommendation

Looking to buy a trunk lid liner for my 00 FRC. Anybody have a bad experience with a trunk lid liner? Vendor recommendations? Best quality product at the best price? Anything I should watch out for?

Thanks!

I prefer the mirrors, rather than the matted liners.

Extra pieces of industrial strength velcro are a real help.

I've seen a few installed (don't know what brands exactly) but it seemed they were all droopy and didn't fit very well.

Anyone specifically have the Eckler's model? I'm assuming it's attached with velcro, and the amount and where it's placed probably determines how well it fits and stays in place?

I just received a Eckler's liner with the 50th embroidered on it. I think there is limited support by the center front edge (by the latch). So I've bought some extra strength Velcro and some Styrofoam to add some more rigidity in that area.

Be ready to make some custom mods. I researched the sh*t out of this a while back. Many forum members had problems keeping the damn thing stuck in place. All kinds of custom mods have been done (glue, velcro, you name it.). I decided against it. I think that if I pay for something (and they aint cheap!), it should work. Just my .02

I purchased one of these trunk lid liners at Mid Americas funfest last summer. What I did was drill some holes in the trunk lid braces and used some of the some of the plugs that attach the hood liner to the hood only a smaller size. It works great, spaced out 4 plugs on each trunk lid brace. Still hanging in there.

Good idea - if you don't mind drilling the holes.

Contact Rich at Carmotorsports

The materials that they use including the backboard are high quality and will not fall off. He includes two types of velco and plenty of it as well

Larry-very nice looking. Their 3 piece one for a C5 on their website is also a good looking liner.

Thanks guys, this is definitely a case of getting what you pay for

Especially if you're serious about "mods" like the trunk lid cover, underhood insulator, floormats, etc.

You're paying for the GM licensing (virtually guaranteeing that the logo used will be a perfect replication of the original, in my case the Z06 logo).

In addition, you're getting exceptional quality from the materials used (especially the thread used in the embroidery) to the workmanship involved, AND most importantly: fantastic customer service These guys will go the extra mile to ensure that you get EXACTLY what you want.

I had purchased a trunk lid cover through West Coast Corvette and was very happy with it, had no problems with it staying on. But I wasn't satisfied with the logo that it came with and there was no way to customize it to my liking. That's the main reason why I coughed up the dough for what I have now
