Default Rough Night in Central FL

Some of you guys in Central FL already know, but last night, my wife was driving the vette to pick me up at work and lost control when she hit a patch of water on a curve. She spun and smacked the curb really hard. Hard enough to crack my rear wheel and my rotor Rear suspension is shot, and the front tire is toast as well. The passenger rocker was cracked by the curb. The good news is she is ok and nobody else was involved. Of course this does totally suck, but I was able to get it towed to Burke Corvettes, and now it is just a waiting game.

Since I have to get a new wheel anyways, I was thinking of replacing all 4. There is a great deal for black Z06 wheels right now at the House of Wheels Since my wife feels terrible about this, I think I will have no problem convincing her I "need" them

Way to spin a bad thing into a good one, Z06 rims are hot.

Good luck and definitely great news that your wife did not get hurt. As a Central Florida resident myself... there have been a few hard showers where the puddles were larger than a thought and almost lost it myself...

Anyways... have you looked at some of the deals on wheels and tires on eBay?

Mike

Yikes! Sorry to hear about the Vette but glad to hear your wife is ok.

Definitely a perfect time to get the new rims.

You should also console her and tell her that it was not her fault...it was the tires. they just aren't safe in the rain........
You really should get new ones because you are concerned for her safety

Glad everyone is O.K.

Now is the time to mod... it would be silly to spend $$$ for a replacement if you will only spend more $$$ later for what you really want.

Good luck on the repairs. And don't be too hard on the wife, this kind of thing can happen to the best of us.

Glad she was not hurt. Your car is at Burkes, so I will guarantee you it comes out of his shop better than it went in. His work is fabulous.

Glad she is OK and hope you can get the car fixed up quickly. The black Z06 wheels will look very nice on the car.

Wow, sorry for your trouble. I'm glad she's o.k. The car can and will be repaired good as new. I say go for the new wheels, but not out of guilt, I'm sure she feels bad enough as it is. Good luck with the resolution.

Be nice to your wife, she is more important than any car, even a vette. Do that and will get anything you want!!! Wife took a brand new Jag out with a 160 miles on it and ran over a tire in the road and totally FUBARed the whole car. I bit my tounge and swallowed hard and told her it was not her fault and not to worry. WOW, that was the right move!

I'm glad your wife is okay, Ramon. I think the chrome wagon wheels you have are unique, but there are alot of cool wheels on the market and new tires are definitely in order!!
