Default Z06 Shocks

I have had the Z06 shocks installed for a week now and the feel is much tighter than the stock C5. However, I have also noticed the ride seems stiffer or more bumpy than stock.
For those that have driven coupes with Z06 shocks and Bilstiens, are they two very different shocks in terms of ride?

Anybody...............do the Bilsteins deliver the same ride the C6 Z06 shocks do???
The Z06 shcoks are a little stiffer than I thought they would be and if the Bilsteins deliver a tight but smoother ride, it may be worth the switch.

Are you still running runflats??? The C5 Z06 shocks were tuned using the F1 Supercar tires which are non-runflats and softer than the standard C5 runflats. The ride will definitely feel bumpier if you've still got runflats. The same will be true with Bilsteins or the new C6 Z06 shocks.

I am not sure if they are run flats, they were on the car when I bought it.
They are BF Goodrich G-Force T/A 265/35/18 on the front's and 20's on back.

I am thinking about '04 Z06 shocks or the Bilstien Sports for my daily driver. I am intersted in what folks have to say about the two. Has anyone done a side by side comparo?

batsallover had the Z06's installed for a few months and when he switched to the Bilstein sports, he said there was a noticable difference in ride quality between the two.

If I decide the ride is too harsh on the Z06's, I will not hestitate to get the Bilsteins.

The handling is great with the Z06's, I would just prefer a smoohter crusing ride.

There is a difference between 04 Z06 shocks and up to 03 shocks.
In an earlier thread i read that the 04 Z06 is between the sport and HD Bilstein in stiffness

I have the C6 Z06 shocks installed and they deliver a fairly bouncy ride.

So do you think there would not be much of a ride difference between the Bilstein sports and the C6 Z06?

I just hate to drop another $300 for a negligible ride improvement.

So basically the '04 Z06 shocks are not as stiff as the Bilstein Sports, but stiffer than the Bilstiens Heavy Duties? Would that be accurate?
I hear the '04 do Z06s handle great though. Do you think they handle better than the Bil Sports? Anyone else have a comparison? They are about the same in price.

As far as the '06 Z06 shocks go; Weren't those designed for an '06 Z06? If so, then it would seem that they would not be the best choice for a C5, considering the differences between the two cars? I don't know here. I am just raising a question. Thanks
