When I put an exhaust system on what is the best way to insulated the interior from noise. I have a convertible. Is that noise blocker that fits behind the seats any good or is there an insulater I can put under the carpet ----and is that a big job.
You can do both each one will help alittle bit, I have a FRC and it was worth while for both mods. The sound deadener install take a good day to do but worth it.

I've done both. The Partition that I have goes between the ragtop and the trunk, and helps keep the top clean from junk in trunk. Insulation under the carpet and in all 3 storage areas dramatically reduced the noise. Call Dan, a supporting vendor, at www.ExoticVette.com and he'll hook you up with precut pieces. Not that big a deal to do.
There are three things you can do to dramatically reduce road noise.
A trunk partition from forum member Crazy Cowboy at www.exoticvettes
A trunk carpet form Lloyds mats
those two combined dramtically reduce exhaust drone in a Vert
The last step is the expensive one.... replace the runcraps!
