Looks like the tailights that got in the pic, if it were headlights coming at 'ya it probably would have been ruined. Pretty cool. Now you have to figure out how to take advantage of it and catch a really cool shot of you car...

Well, I have been playing around quite a bit with the night shots... however, the lighting outside my house is not good at all... the street lamps are a nasty yellow color, which, when exposed for a long time, draws a really nasty color over my street... as seen below:
And yes, thats me walking around with a flashlight in my hands... again, you see the lack of "me" in the photos... just the light.. as in the original, where you couldn't see the car..
I then went in my garage... The following pic is a 16 second exposure... it was pitch black in my garage.. I was inside my car (as you can see in pic) and i turned the headlights on for about a second, and then off again... just enough so the camera could capture a nice headlight shot and the ambient light it placed on the vette and room..:

Cool photos. One thing you can play around with also is 'painting' the picture with a flashlight or spotlight. Set it to a long exposure with a closed down apature like you're doing, then shine the flashlight onto the areas you want exposed more.... backgrounds, trees, your car, etc.
Another option is to shoot multiple photos from the same tripod shot, exposing different items and joining them together in editing (to bring out a nice sunset and close-up subject or something).
I haven't gone out to play with my camera in a while, but seeing these cool photos is giving me the itch.

Ok, did a few quckly... the last one really looks cool, kinda like its under water... I used a more direct light source.. and kept it on while I moved it around..
With the exception of a really dirty car!!! , they turned out nice...
