Default All black wheels

I'm interested in an all black wheel. Could I take my stock '03 Z06 wheels to a company who would powder coat the entire wheel matt or shiny black. Opinions: Might I have chipping and/or rust problems. How about constant dusting. Any ideas what this might cost.....I won't hold you to it. Anyone know a place that might do a quality job in Columbus, Oh?

Also, I'm interested in all black with with no polished rim just silver rivets.

You could definitely just have your stock wheels coated all black. I'd go with a satin finish over gloss. Gloss black sometimes clashes too much with the flat black of the tires.

You're looking at anywhere between $40-60 per wheel. They don't chop, they don't rust. They'll look great for a long time as long as you keep them clean.

I'm having my wheels done as we speak. First step, get them media blasted. Second step, find a reputable powdercoater. I saw a reply to a post on here a week or so ago and someone was saying the heat weakens the wheel. I have spoken to Alcoa about this on 2 different occasions (once regarding a set of Alcoas for my Rubicon, and just last week about my factory 01 Z wheels which are Alcoa. Please keep in mind, the 02-04 OEM wheels are not Alcoas so I'm not sure about them). I have had 2 sets of Alcoas powdercoated so far with zero issues. Hope this helps.

BTW, Alcoa has no problems with customers painting or powdercoating their products.
