Hi C5girl! Either the Sportbrakes, OR, the more blingful two piece Eradispeeds are all nice brake rotor upgrades. Let us know what you finally decide upon. And, post us some pics to drool over. Good luck to you.
Got Baer Eradispeed two piece front, one piece rears. Put them on this summer, June 2000. Very happy still look great. Put on Z06 calipers, SS lines and Hawk HP street pads. Stops much better, after brake in. Mark

Whats nice about the sportbrake rotors is they are zinc coated and you don't have to paint them. Post some pics. of you and your rotors when you get em.
Sportsbrakes are IMO a good buy and I'm my 3rd set now. I've gone to drilled and dimpled to avoid cracked rotors during autocross events (and to stay within my class).
Although they are zinq-coated I painted the hats with hi-temp paint because a prior set reacted to the wheel cleaner I was using.
There is nothing wrong with the Baers either. Excellent rotor but a big price difference.
You can also get covers for the hats but I took them off to keep the rotors cooler.
If I don't paint them, is the rust gonna show??
Also, what about the covers? Do I need them?
This modding thing is too stressful

No. You do not need covers. At one time I would show my car fairly often and had chrome covers. But now I autocross it much more and don't want anything to hold heat around the rotors.
The firepath (the area where the pads hit the rotor) can rust overnight. That's not a problem. Simply drive the car and use the brakes to clean that up.
The hats (the raised area in the center of the rotor) can discolor or rust but zinq-coating helps keep that away (as does cleaning). A lot of people paint the hats just for looks or for rust protection. But use a high temperature paint to do that.
