If I don't paint them, is the rust gonna show??
Also, what about the covers? Do I need them?
This modding thing is too stressful

Hi C5-GIRL -
I also picked the sportbrakes rotors.
I am noyt sure what you mean by "united" rotors - so I can't tell you if they will rust.
If they are zinc dipped, like the sportbrakes are, then they will not rust for a long time, exept in the swept area, which will be clean and shiny from being polished by the brake pads.
Are any of you that have sportbrakes running ceramic pads? What kind? How are they working out?
Rob
Hi Rob -
I put the AutoZone ceramic pads on our 99 when I instlaled the sportbrakes rotors.
I don't get any noticeable dust, and the performance seems no different in normal driving. They do cause a funny looking "galling" on he swept area of the rotors, where the stock pads made a nice shiny polished area. also, I notice that the ceramic pads sound like they are grinding the rotors - no squeaks or squeels, just "grinding" noises....
I am not sure I would go ceramic again - regular GM corvette pads would probably be my choice had I to do it again.

I did basically the same thing, but some other major chain auto store... no noticeable issues with mine though... except I don't know what "galling" is...
