Default Glass Mat Batteries...

Went to Sam's Club today to get an Exide Orbital battery with their Nascar XLT label, XD35 for 95 bucks
Noted, however that all on the shelf were manufactured in April 2005. So, they are already 8 months old!
Does anyone know if this really matters or makes a difference in the longevity these batteries?

If I were buying this battery, I'd want a new one. Last summer I went to Sears and bought a DieHard Gold for my C5. The battery was 2 weeks old. Thats the way it should be.

I've had the Exide Orbital installed for 18 months with no problem.

I think you should be able to find one thats fresher than the 8 month old one. Try another Sam's in the area, or NTB if you have them there. They should match Sam's price.
