Default Mounting a Passport

All - I've got an 8500 X50 that I'm going to mount up high between the mirror and the visor. Do the suction cups stay put? Great Lakes Trophies told me they have a mount that should fit. Has anyone tried it? I appreciate any and all ideas?

Thanks for your input.

Although I have the V-1, the Great Lakes under mirror mount worked great. I understand that they now have the under mirror mount for the Passport. I recommend it.

I use the suction cups and they work fine. Try it before you spend $20.00 on the aftermaket bracket. I would also mount the radar under the mirror. It should get better range for radar coming up behind you. -Ed

I also have a V-1, how do you have your mounted? I've just been putting mine on the passenger side visor and routing the cord inside the molding around the door and back behind the glove box.

I have a bel rx65. the suction cups have worked well if I do not try to pull them off. Ecklers has a long attachment bolt that attaches to the RV mirror that I am looking at ordering. I attached the sution mount to the window to the left of, and level with the mirror, and remove the nuti from the mount when I park. The hanging cord does not bother me.
