Thank you Somtimes I do, or even after washing you get this with non-zinc treated rotors.

I'm curious how the dimples will stand up to track usage.
None. I had the drilled/slotted rotors on, but they weren't zinc treated and rusted up on me...BUT I understand that the "dimpled" won't crack like the drilled ones. I don't do the track or motor cross..so I would have kept my driled ones if they hadn't rusted up on me.

Thanks for your input..I'll keep an eye out for that

These are "EBC"...Checkout the applications http://www.brakeco.com/ebc%20Greenstuff.htm they do have pads for light weight cars. There's an application for the C5. Besides unlike you, I don't do any racing. Thanks for the input

I also find it strange that No one even mentioned the rusty condition of the spindle hub... "It's Rusty" . This needs to be sanded and painted...I am not going to believe for one minute that he is going to paint them... if this was true, he would have done it before taking the pictures... Do you think that rust will go away on it's own??? Do you think it wont bleed rust on to your new rotors... ????? I sometimes wonder why people pm me so often and so many times on the same issue but then do what they wanted to do originally anyway.
First. IF EBC green stuff pads are for "light weight" cars, why do they sell an application for the C5? Wouldn't that be a liability???

Second. Old Mighty Evil One..I thanked/thank you for all your input.
I started off with the plan of getting Ceramic pads after running Hawk HPS pads that left a light gray brake dust, taking your advice I didn't go with Ceramic pads. I did my own research and and seen the EBC pads are made of Kevlar and other material and is not as hard as Ceramic and "suppose" to be 80% less in brake dust. http://www.brakeco.com/ebc%20Greenstuff.htm I can live with that, I think. (If not, off they come and on with GM OEM pads).

Third. OEM pads you highly recommend..I know will leave behind brake dust needing cleaning. Not that I don't have time, I'm retired also..just don't want to do it.

Forth: As for why people PM you so often is because they reply back to your input..if you are correct or not.

As for the rust on rotor hats, holes, veins and slots, they will return because those rotors were not zinc treated.
Believe it or NOT!
When I first put those rotors on I painted the hats and vanes with hi-temp paint. Now it wasn't VHT paint, so the off brand may very well be the problem of the rusting in those areas.
By the way I have thre sets of wheels so that is why there is two different sets in the pictures below.

So the ones I now have are zinc coated with powder coated hats and I will do as Rain recommended "use a q-tip and clear hi-temperature paint in the slots and holes". This I plan to do.
So in closing I have just this to say.
"Don't HATE....... Congratulate"
HAPPY NEW YEAR
Rsty
