Never seen anything like that on the cluster. Hope it is something that can just be wiped off - otherwise that could be a major PITA to get to look good again.Best of luck getting it to come off.
What solution, if any, did you use to wipe the bezel down? If you used nothing, it's possible the glue left a residue as it outgassed during the drying process.
Did the bulb pop and the filament blow everywhere? If so, soap and water will take care of it, but what a PITA to pull back out! I love the bezels, but I'm just sticking to the white faces to avoid the whole dismantling thing
Also, make sure your gauges are exactly centered. My mph slid a hair off center, at the base of the needle hags up alittle. Hopefully you gave the glue time to dry before reinstalling. Let gases escape from glue, kinda like armorall on dash fogs windshield. Good Luck!

i've actually gotten really good @ removing the cluster i've had it out 4 times now. If the filament blew, can you repl the light. I can't see how to remove the light? i think i'm goint to be sick. Using simple green to remove some the stuff and it seams to be workings.
Got fired thurs
Bezel & gauges replacment turns into a cluster ....
Now tide is rolling over my Red Radiers
this maybe (and like is) useless info, but i thot i read someones step by step that touching the facia area was a no-no, maybe there is some sort of black majik coating that cant be touched without results described?
please tell me u didnt use super glue anywhere to install those bezels...thats what it looks like-the white stuff is from super glue vapors...ruins alot of things if u use super glue and then reassemble w/o it being perfectly cured for a while. super glue vapors is what is used in my line of work to get finger prints off paper etc, the vapors stick to the finger prints and harden to provide permanent ridges we can then dust etc. hope thats not hte case w/u because if it is, ur looking at needing new cluster.

well I did use super glue but I think if it was the vapors it would be more consistent all over the cluster. Plus there is a space @ the top of the lens to vent.
This seems like a weird problem that not many people will know about
I think the superglue caused it. I know when I glue something with superglue it always leaves that white looking stuff all around the area and it never really goes away even if you wipe it.
When I use the adhesive, I get a white haze around the bond area. Is this harmful? Can I remove it and prevent it from happening again?
This is known as blooming and occurs during the cycle of the adhesive. The appearance of blooming can be more frequent during the summer when humidity is at its peak, or when a user applies an excessive amount of accelerator. It can also occur when the assembly process means that the product is put into an enclosed space before the bond is fully cured, which causes vapours to settle on the adhesive. It is possible to prevent the occurrence by using a low odour low bloom product; by installing ventilation to ensure that vapours do not stay on the bond line; by using de-humidifiers to ensure that humidity never rises above 40-50% or by applying less adhesive and/ or activator. Hernon produces a clean up solvent for removing the blooming effect CA remover solvent 14.

BINGO! Typical of most expoxy and "superglue" like sealants! Wipe it all off thoroughly.

I would say I goes 98% of it off. If you can find the 2% get the F out of my car . I guess it had to be teh vapor from super glue. I'm going to do a buddies sometime soon so i'll remember to let them set up!!!
thanx for all the help today. Hindsight says the al bezels would show better but these match the car.

As Chad mentioned in his post, it's from the super glue vapors. It will stick more to areas that have been handled.
As a long time scale model builder I've seen this happen over and over. That's why I never use super glue on any windshields or clear plastic parts.
