Default Borla Or Corsa?

I just can't decide...I spoke with the people at Lingenfelter, and they seem to prefer Corsa..I liked the tour edition sound. If I chose Borla, I'm not clear on which model to select that would be similar....any advice?

Here is another great brand to consider GHL
Magnum Series. I'm on the fence myself, Between Borla Quad Round or GHL Round.

Anyone have any sound bites?

go with the Borla stingers.

They are a bit deeper and louder than the Corsas.

Borla copied the original GHL design.

Listen to each and then decide. FWIW, the pricing on the twin tip Borlas is much more appealing than the Corsas.

Borla = heavy drone at cruising speed. 1500 to 1800 rpm... They do sound great at idle and wide open throttle... but If you do any highway driving, you will have to suck it up and pretend it isnt there. like all Borla owners.

I have had both. I've got a convertable so there is of course alot of wind noise with the top down. The Corsas were barely audible at cruise speed but sounded good when the throttle was opened up. There was zero resonance with the top up. They do sound alittle motorboat-ish at times. The Borlas on the other hand sound bad *** all the time. They are loud enough at cruise to here over the wind (but not obnoxious - which is what I was after). Open 'er up and the sound is nothing less than awesome!!!! Deep & throaty. Sounds good at idle, too. With the top up I do get a small amount of resonance but not bad. My car is not a daily driver so I don't mind the small amount of resonance I get. FYI, I'm running an ATI blower, TEA heads, blower cam, Kooks 1 3/4" LT headers, X - pipe with Borlas and the sound is BAD ***. Highly recommend Borla Stingers.

wow...thanks for the input...now let me sound really stupid...why can't I find the stinger on the Borla website? I clearly see the Cat-Back stainless exhaust package...is Stinger just a tip style? My vette is a '99 FRC.

There are no stupid questions.

Here is a link. I was looking at the page and I noticed also that they didnt actually label them as the "Stingers" but they are systems 140017, 140038, and 140039.

http://www.borla.com/applications/lo...olet/Corvette/

The best price I have found for the two tip system is on the following link. That is where I got mine!

Had Corsa Indy's on my '01 coupe and have Borla's on my Z06. I prefer the Corsa, but definately go Indy, not touring, IMHO.

Here is some honest input from a guy who has had both and is now dealing with his Borla's. Anyone who posts a negative comment about something that they currently own has my respect. I take my hat off to you ModRed405. Usually everyone justifies what they have ( in their own mind ) and wants everyone to jump on their ship... even if it is sinking...

I have the Indy's but I'm sure I would love the Borla's just as much. As far as looks? Forgetaboutit. Corsa's rule!

As has been said time and time again, it boils down to your personal taste.
But if you like good exhaust tone then you would be very pleased with
stingers. There is some reasonance at cruise with stingers... (see
previous sentence).

I, too, have had both Indys and Stingers. On a stock to slightly modded
vette stingers are tremendous IMO. Even with headers they sound great but
louder. After adding H/C, while it sounded incredible, it was VERY loud
so I moved back to Indys which are perfect for me. Now if looks means
anything to you then consider Corsa... best looking tips IMO.

Listen to them in person if at all possible, if not, listen to to recording you
can find online. Good luck with you decission.
