anyone know what intake would be best for a non intercooled maggie??
Don't think it'll much matter as long as the element and airbox can supply the cfm the maggie requires. I'd go with a wide open filter there with no box more likely than not - like the blackwing for example. Forced induction presents a whole other arena. I'm not sure, but I believe you could still use the vararam - my concern would be that it'll be sucking in air with the maggie with so much flow that it could bypass the natural water channeling and bring water with it.

You need an inlet air velocity at the filter of 900fpm to injest water being stationary. The arrangement has alot to do with it. My VR Widemouth grabs air coming in through the front screens and under the nose, the plastic shroud has been removed. When I install my Stage II Procharger, I will seek another arrangement.
My vote is for the Callaway. Fit and finish are excellent. Install was no-brainer too. I heard the fit/finish of "others" are not up to par for the price paid. Any CAI is worth having......
