Default Question about rake...

Assuming the front is set at the height I want, how much higher should
the rear be to achieve proper rake? (1/2", 1", etc.) I've always had the
body at a level height, but I want to try a different stance now.
Thanks.

To assume you also want proper aerodynamics, car handleing and performance also.

Front ride height should be no lower then 1 1/4" from stock, 1" is ideal any lower and the suppension geomerty does not work properly.
Measure on the frame rails just infront of the jacking puch holes.

There are other places to measure, the a-arm attachments. The fenders is not a good place as they are almost never equal.

Then the measure just behind the rear jacking puck holes on the frame. The rear should be 4-5 mm higher then the front.

The left side of the car slightly higher then the right side. This is to off set the weight of the driver.

When you set your ride height you should have your weight in the drivers seat. I use 11 old brake rotors at 17 lbs each.

There are other steps too, depending how much you want to do to your car.

Corner balance, then alignement.

All these items come into haromny when cars ride height, corner balanced and alignment are set properly and the car handles like a slot car.

Good Luck

MTI fixed me up; they did a great job. The car looks and feels great.
Lowered was definitely cool, but it's nice to have the proper ride height
again.

Actually, the service manual (at least for my 2002 Z06) shows the front and rear measurements (J trim height and K trim height, respectively) to be exactly the same - so on the Z06 there is no rake in the factory spec. The 4-5mm of rake applies to the FE1 or FE3 suspension, but not the Z06 - again, accordingly to the factory manual.
