Vette Essentials
I would like to thank, and acknowledge Ken at Vette Essentials. He has proved me with excellent support on my questions regarding creating extra seating room in my vette to accomodate taller people.
This is the type of person I would like to deal with every day. A good human being, providing excellent customer support, who is genuinely concerned with helping others.

I had the same first rate, personal service as if I too was buying a whole interior when in fact I was getting a shift **** and boot.

Now the order is only about $800 bucks but you'd think I was getting the whole interior done by the way he took his time to walk me through all the options. A real car guy and a genuine individual. Ya, there are guys that may be a little cheaper but when you get service like that, you can't beat it. If he takes that much care on the service, i can only imagine the end product!!

I talked to Ken while I was at work and I was in a huge rush as my phones were going crazy. But basically here is what he suggested. If anyone can add to this it would be greatly appreciated.
#1 Remove two of the eight springs in the bottom of the seat. Ken said not to remove two next to each other. As I haven't started the project, I am assuming that the springs must work together and by removing two there will be less tensions and therefore you will be able to seat deeper in the seat.
#2. Bore shallow holes in the cushion to create more room. Again, this makes sense to create some extra room.
#3 You can also remove some of the cushion in the upright back portion of the seat to create more room.
I will complete the spring project this weekend. I'm 6'6" and I have enough room but would like a little bit more.
Again, if anyone has completed this project please add to this post.

Did he mean to bore shallow holes in the top of the base foam so it squishes down more?
Can you remove springs w/o taking the sat apart... just take it out then flip it upside down?

The second question. Ken told me to remove the seat, place on my bench and yes, flip it upside down and it should lay flat? I'm a little nervous about the project as I'm not sure how easy it is to remove a spring.
