Hold out for a C5?
I passed up a Grand Sport coupe, and a '91 ZR1 for my 2000 FRC!!!
still better all around than either the GS or the ZR1, to me.
The GS was 20k, the ZR1 24k, I paid 24k for my C5, I thought why pay 20k for a 10 yr old car, or 24k for a 14 yr old car, when I can get better for around the same money!( I know they're not just a 10 and a14 yr old car, they're special, but that was the bottom line to me, they're just older cars...unfortunately I can only own one car, I'd love to own all three!)
Yeah, the ZR1 has more horses, but to me , all the other benefits of the C5 outweigh that, and the LS1 is easily modd-able to match or surpass the HP of the LT5...
Unless you're into the collectability of the GS and the ZR1, which are two very cool cars, I'd say still go with a C5, the driving experience is worth it!

The C5 will not quite have the handling/feel of an NSX, nor the build quality, but the V8 power will be a nice change.
. And they're a lot cheaper. Make sure you thoroughly test drive before you buy though. Only you know what you like. Oh, and this forum and the people are better than any other forum on the net.

You'd be hard pressed to find an interior piece mis-spaced, or a body panel that didn't quite line up, or a squeak, or a rattle... in an NSX. They are marvelous cars.
In 2004 my finances perked up and I finely test drove a C5. Well I couldn’t get my order in fast enough! The C4 is a good car, the C5 is a GREAT car. There is no comparison.
IMO hold out for a C5.
