Computer "re-learn"
Well, ever since I installed my Halltech Stinger, I have been getting Check Engine LIght every 3 weeks or so... the codes are lean codes and then the light goes away after about 3-5 days of driving...
Question is.. there was someone on here that had some technique to get the computer to relearn with the current air/fuel mixture, so the engine codes wouldn't return
Some long process or something..
If anyone could share, that would be great

Careful not to over oil it either because they oil can get on the wire on the MAF sensor and act as an insulator. It will throw a code. Also check that all of your clamps are tight and that air is not leaking in and causing it to go lean. Spray carb cleaner around all the joints and see if your idle changes. If it does them you have a leak. You would be suprised how often we see this at my shop.

When I bought a new Halltech Stinger, (about a year and a half ago) it did not come pre oiled. I know most K & N stock filter replacements and Mr. Gasket, KOOL BLUE replacement filters do come pre oiled, the couple of aftermarket performance filters I've bought have not come pre oiled. I use the K & N recharge kits for filters with a red color to them, and Mr Gasket also makes a recharge kit for their filter and their oil has a blue tint to it so I use their kit on blue filters. Just spray a light coat on the filter, just enough to see a slight color change in the filter, but don't put to much on as RichieRichZ06 points out as that can cause problems also. You do not want to see any oil dripping off the filter, if you do you have way to much on it. Just take the filter off, clean it, oil it, and reinstall it. Then clear the codes using a Programmer, or some other method that people have suggested and you should be fine.
