Anybody got measurements or a place that I can get a template for installing body side moldings. Got em painted just need some directions on where to place them?
How 'bout putting them back up for sale!! Look how sleek and beeeeaaauutiful your car looks without them on! Now look at on with... you really don't want to do it now do you To each there own, but I think it is much much much 'er w/o that 8" thick piece of plastic ruining your sleek lines....
Don,t you love the help you get sometimes on this forum. What I did was find a Vette that had them And they looked right And measured from bottom of door at the font and rear of the door and then put a couple of pieces of masking tape there. You will find they vary from car to car depending who puts them on.I think you will find they run uphill and by the time you allow a little space left & roght its A no brainer.I would be glad to measure mine but I,m going out of town.

And by the way, BSM's are beautiful, and protective... Sorry I don't know how to put them on... My best advice would be to have them do it at the dealer...
haha, you guys are funny. The guy asks for templates and measurements and you give him everything but that. He obviously made it a point that he was putting them on. I have them on my car and not sure if I want to take em off or leave them on. I think they fit kinda nice, but i also like it without. I am considering this because I have to get some body work done and they are goin to have to order a new bsm to replace the one that got damaged. Believe me, they work guys. I would of had a lot more damage to my door, if that BSM wasnt there. As far as measurments, I think it begins in the middle of the front fender vent adn just go on a horizontal, level run straight back.

Nooooooooo, they don't! They are NOT parallel to the ground! There is a slight rake to them!
I remember someone posted a pic here once of someone's BSM's that were added on later [by the dealer, maybe?], and they were straight across. Wow, did it look bad and wrong!
I can't help with measurements 'cause I took mine off last year. But, someone WILL be able to help, and you'll be able to get it right. Just make sure it's right first!
Look at the relationship to the front wheel and rear wheel, front to back. It's clear that the BSM's ramp upward toward the rear of the car -- and this is on a car that's been lowered, and moreso in the rear:
You have some good pictures to go by... You can line them up, use some painters tape to hold them in place...
Measure and repeat on the other side. You can use a felt maker to outline, then place them on with the supplied DS tape.
I had it both ways.. and I prefer the look of the BSM.
The BSM is 8 1/8" below the door handle moulding and 10 1/4" below the mirror and 5/8" back fron the front edsge of the door, the little piece on the QP is 1/4" forward of the edge. Put the door piece on first the front piece easy to line up.
Personally.... the BSM's look best on dark colors to me and save my doors. I drive my Z evceryday and park it at work in a big parking lot (granted, I take three spots in the back of the lot usually)
PUT EM BACK ON
