I don't remember exactly, I do remember it will **** you off until you figure it out though.
I believe that you have to pull out the retaining clip and then you will have a tab to release to seperate the two pieces.
I'm sure that someone will chime in with some pics that will illustrate it for you soon.

Hi John -
WTF? Why are you fiddling with your maf plug at 4:00 am?
You have to pull the white plastic locking piece out first, then you can remove the plug from the maf.
You should have called me last night.....
best regards -

I was messing with it late last night. I'm going to change the air filter and I want to remove the entire assembly to do some cleaning in there.

Just look at the plug - there is a white lock thingy that is stuffed in the plug - puill it out and then it will come off.
Wow - not sure about your drain of the coolant -
Call grim and ask -
Also - just drive to Fl and we'll all change the diffs out together - we'll get the stuff the EG recommends - pizz on that $27 chizz......
I have darts tonight - you need the manuals?
best regards -

Naw, I'm cool, thanks. I just want to try to get as much of the coolant out as possible.
