Every now and then I get low coolant and charge system error on my read out.The coolant is fine and the battery and alt. are fine.Had my mechanic do a check. Is it the same as the low fuel problem that comes up when i go on long trips and is there anthing to do about this or do you just reset and forget about it?

I have a 97 and have the low fuel problem some. I was driving back from the museum the other day and I knew I had about 1/2 tank of gas and the dial fuel gauge suddenly went to E! I checked the DIC and the range didn't read anything. I knew I had fuel but I tell you I was sweating. The next exit on the interstate was about 10 miles. I bumped the cruise down to 65 and got off at the next exit. I filled it up and when I started it, the gauge went back to full. I only buy gas at major gas stations ie; Chevron, Shell, etc. no cheapmart gas so I don't think it is poor gas but could be. Anyway I try to keep it over 1/2 tank at all times and then if it does it I know its just messing with me. I just settle into the leather seats, turn up the music and cruise on!
