Tire question...
Can I possibly get new non run flat rears and keep the fronts, lots of tread left on the front but my driving habits totally ate up my rears... has anyone mixed and matched like this before with normal results.
Run flats have very hard sidewalls, much firmer than those on regular tires. The handling characteristics will be dramatically changed and could result in instability. For example it may throw off the algorithms the active handling system uses to help minimize spins.
But I am not a tire expert. I suggest you post in the Tire and Wheel section under General Corvette.....

I thought about taking the fronts off and selling them. The fronts were fine...somehow my rears were wearing out twice as fast

But I was uncomfortable mixing and matching run-flats and non-runflats, and different brands.
I ended up buying 2 new rear firehawks.
