It hit 60 degrees today in Mass and it was time to wake sleeping beauty. I took off the cover and she looked spectacular, just as if I put her to bed.
I sat in drivers seat, inserted the key, the seat came to memory position 1. I turned it to the right and she came alive!! Man what a sound, boy did I miss that.
Out of the garage and off I went. Took her through the gears, gently, the LS6 responded like a caged animal set free. Driving my Z06 was a treat, if tomorrows nice I'll be out as well.
Put my new Lloyds Z06 floor and cargo mats in today too.

NIIIICE! I know you folks in those states that get harsh winters really appreciate the nice days!

Sounds like a blast. Mine's off the road, so I played with the C5's exhaust and took the Sebring vert out instead. Maybe I should have put some Lloyds mats in first. It went like ****.
I'm with you all. This winter is great. It hit 56 here in central Illinois yesterday. It's getting tempting to take the 01 vert out, but my 00 coupe daily driver has new snow tires that have not yet seen any snow! We are supposed to get 1 inch of snow tonight. Maybe I'll find a parking lot and see how much harder it is to break the back end loose with the dunlop mud & snow tires. So far all these tires have done is pick up more rocks and then spit them out which sounds like it's killing my car.
Enjoy the warm weather, and I hope this snow doesn't come your way.
Another day much like fall here. Imagine mid to upper 50's in January.
My wife and I hopped in the Z and went on a 50 mile + ride. It was absolutely fantastic, crusin down the roads, LS6 purring along nicely and those throaty titanium exhausts giving it that signature sound.
She's back in the garage now clean and covered up just waiting for the next nice day.
I'm off to Germany on business for the next week and a half but I'll try to keep up on the forum. Everyone be safe.
Ah, I remember those days when I had my 68 in Connecticut - shoveling the snow away from the garage, starting her up just to listen to that V8. Once in a while, I'd drive her to church on a cold but dry day in January.
I guess that's why I came here; I just love driving too much.
We've been lucky too... 4 straight weeks of way above average temps.. no real snow or rain... But, I only took her out once for a ride... You gotta wait for the gravel to clear the roads from earlier when it was bad out...
It's 8:00am and I'm in London, 3:00am EST, this morning. No snow on the ground but around 34 degrees. I get in to Frankfurt Germany this afternoon, the weather is calling for light snow.
Gonna take the vette for some excercise today in OHIO as they say we'll see that SUN thing.........man, I just love what 35 degree air does to these cars!!!!!
