Default Another lowering question

I did the conservative lowering approach, left 2 threads in the rear and tightened all the way down in front. That dropped the car .75 in front and .625 rear. Re-aligned at -.75 camber front and rear, 7 degrees caster .25 toe in, in the front and .25 out in the rear. The car wanders of center and at Watkins Glen I saw alot more wear on the left front than I'm used to (really just wore the edge, not rolled over) Any ideas comments? [IMG][/IMG] :smash: P.S. From the Factory camber front was -.50 left and +.30 right????? hows that for hand built!

Strange. My car tends to wander a little when I get on the gas, but this is only when I have my active handling on. I wonder if sometimes I trick the computer into thinking my car is cornering slightly when I put my foot into it and my passenger side rear tire wants to lay down first because of the direction of the engine torqueing. It could also be the uneven surface, as it seems sometimes my car will have a mind of its own for a split second and then I may not experience anything for quite sometime even when I take my hands off the wheel it will drive straight and true. As far as abnormal wear though, I have yet to experience this.

I lowered my car this last week. Impressed the heck out of my wife! (she apparently thought I was useless?) Anyway I didn't know what to expect.
I drove it on the highway to the Drag strip on Sunday and didn't notice any differance except around town it does get squirly for a split second and then
it's totally fine. I haven't done anything about the alignment, I don't know if
I realy need to ? I used the longer lowering bolts on the back and tightened the front as much as I could without cutting the bushing.
Regards,
Steve :D

I,ve noticed the same thing. Sometimes when I accelerate hard it feels as if there's some torque steer, but only for a few seconds. I've never see that happen on a rear wheel drive before. I thought too, maybe its just the road.I guess I should get the alignment checked again.

Thanks everyone, sounds like this is common place. I don't think it (the wandering)is bumpsteer but maybe. At best I'm headed back to the alignment to try and tweek this condition out. DRM thought possibly more negative camber. Keep the headlights down. Thanks agian
