Any battery can leak. The main cause of side termianl leaks is overtorquing. 11 ft-lbs is the spec.
If you battery is working well and it is not leaking now.... Don't touch it.
When it doe sdie, then consider one fo the brands of spiral cell technology. Although they too can leak, the probability is much lower
