Alert: Wiring Loom Problem
FYI-The car alarm, door locks, interior lights, dash clock, and more were turning on and off like a car that was demon-possessed! It turned out to be a wiring loom below the battery tray under the hood. Vibrations caused the battery tray to rub the wires and cut through the insulation. My daytime running lights wire was severed completely. Others shorted out when their insulation was cut.
Less than $500 to fix on my '98 Vette with 122,000+ miles. Just something for you guys to watch for.
