antenna switch
anyone have the $20+- harness that can turn power off to the antenna when playing CD? it it worth the trouble and do you truely not have to "mod" anything? thanks.

I did it without spending $20.00.
just go to radio shack and get spst switch ( I bought a push button switch), and some wire.
the antenna power wires run from the passenger footwell to the rear of the car, I cut the wire at the footwell and spliced my switch into it, I mounted the switch inside the center console.
one of the best $5.00 mods that I have ever done.

If I remember correctly, I believe it is the pink wire. I purchased my switch from Mid-America and thought that they had their instructions online.
Ran my switch from the back of the car, behind the seat, into the console.
Need a little Dremel Magic, and it fit just fine.

I had this done about a year ago. My husband did it for me. Bought the switch at Radio Shack. Hopefully I can link you to a couple pictures of the wiring and finished product. I use it all the time. It was allot cheaper than the kit you can buy in the cataloques.
