paint chips everywhere

what are you guys using to eliminate the stone chips? I getting paint chips on the trailing edge of the doors and in front on the rear brake duct. (the brake duct looks like it has been sand blasted)
I have looked at several catalogs and there are a few stone guards and I'm considering getting one but dont know which one to get. Do the guards make the car look stupid?
anybody have any pics of stone guards that work?

Dave, be sure and check into 3M protective film also. I have been using this product for over a year now and the paint on my car is as good as new. I would recommend a professional install.
