Security light came on while driving?
What does that mean? Driving to work normally this morning not touching a thing and all of a sudden the security light comes on and stays on. No clue why that would come on, so hopefully you guys have an idea.
When I got in the parking lot I turned it off, waited a seconds or two and restarted. All the lights went off as normal. WTH?

Use a pencil eraser from a wooden pencil and "clean" the metal contacts on your key. Hopefully the eraser will clear it up.
If that doesn't work then use a spare key and see if that causes the problem to go away before you take it to the dealership
If problem persists then you have a problem in the lock cylinder.

A little dirt or grime on the key or in the ignition cylinder can cause some error messages.

happened on my Camaro. Unfortunately it wasn't they key, but the sensor in the ignition. Took me three days of arguing with the extended warranty company, but they finally agreed to pay for it.
