I just orderd two of Harbor Freight's 3K lb aluminum racing jack and jack stands and I found this website that lists harbor freight coupons. So I got cheap jack stands and jacks and 5 bucks off plus free atteche bag...pretty cool
If you happen to have a local Harbor Freight store, check their internet prices before going to the store. Recently bought a 3000 lbs low profile jack, internet price was $69.99 but the store price was $99.99. Since I printed off a copy of the internet price, the store honored it.
I AM fortunate enough to have a Harbor Freight within 2 miles of the house. What a fantastic place. If anyone is interested, I saw they had torque wrenches (20-150 lb-ft) in there for less than $20!!! That's the cheapest I've seen anywhere. That's the range you'll need for pretty much everything, including tightening your lug nuts, caliper bolts, etc. Nice tool to have around.

Same here.
My local outlet is about 6 miles from home. They do sell some total junk though - along with some good quality tools as well; and it's nice to be able to see the items in person - to determine the good from the craap.
I order stuff from HF all the time if you get on there mailing list they send you catalogs with the coupons on the back cover .I get at least 1 catalog a week sometimes more The coupons on that site are the ones they always have plus a lot more good deals
I must admit prices are good, if you can pick up a whole set of sockets for the price of one Snapon socket it's a good thing. Just remember you get what you pay for, on some tools it doesn't matter, some it does.
their Chicago brand sockets and ratchets have a lifetime warranty. I cracked an impact socket, took it to the retail store (bought the set online originally, and didn't have a receipt) and they exchanged it with no questions asked.
But I agree for commercial use, the HF tools might not always hold up as well. But heck, I don't need a home-set of tools that will last 4 lifetimes... I've only got about 20 more years to live.
Would rather place the $avings in my mod money jar
I just bought a metal lathe, milling machine and band saw from HF. All items were in the latest sale paper (what I had been waiting on), I found the manager and asked if he could knock some more off the price.
To my surprise, he dropped the total price down another $225 from the advertised sale prices.
It sure doesn't hurt to ask.
Oh yeah........Watch out for that torque wrench, mine stripped the ratchet assembly at 95#'s. Now I gotta find that manager again.

From: Biloxi MS Theres something happenin' here, What it is ain't exactly clear.....
the cheaper socket wrenches (in the sets) strip out the first dozen times ya use em. But they do exchange them for ya.(ive been thru three)
Finally just bought the higher end ones they sell without the sockets.
We have a store over in Mobile, AL I hit about once every few months and rarely get out of there without a full buggy. haha
Glad to hear some of you are finding discounts by asking for a deal!
