What kind of paint did you use on the rail covers? I sanded mine down and was ready for a coat of primer and paint then chickened out. Are you using regular paint, engine enamel, or what? I want do doa quality job without having to worry about the paint baking off or cracking when I have to remove the FRC's.
1. House of Kolor primer - about three coats - sanding after each coat.
2. House of Kolor silver base coat - about four coats - no sanding.
3. House of Kolor Candy Red - about four coats- no sanding - I waited about 30 minutes before applying the clear.
4. The dragons where House of Kolor black.
5. House of Kolor clear - many coats - 6 or 7
Had a few problems with dust in the clear so I had to sand and re-clear. That's why so many coats of clear.
Take your time and if you do mess it up that's why God invented sand paper.
When I remoed the bibbing from the lower part of the fuel rails I re-inforced the area from the inside with fiberglass.
