Finally started the under hood mods. So far just the hoodliner and fuel rail covers but will be adding more later.

Nice mods.

What kind of paint did you use on the rail covers? I sanded mine down and was ready for a coat of primer and paint then chickened out. Are you using regular paint, engine enamel, or what? I want do doa quality job without having to worry about the paint baking off or cracking when I have to remove the FRC's.

I used "House of Kolor" automotive candy paint.

1. House of Kolor primer - about three coats - sanding after each coat.
2. House of Kolor silver base coat - about four coats - no sanding.
3. House of Kolor Candy Red - about four coats- no sanding - I waited about 30 minutes before applying the clear.
4. The dragons where House of Kolor black.
5. House of Kolor clear - many coats - 6 or 7

Had a few problems with dust in the clear so I had to sand and re-clear. That's why so many coats of clear.

Take your time and if you do mess it up that's why God invented sand paper.
When I remoed the bibbing from the lower part of the fuel rails I re-inforced the area from the inside with fiberglass.
