Default Ac Controls

the air is not blowing from from the defrost vents or the foot area when these vents are selected. what are some recommendations other than vacuum hoses? Thanks in advance! Max

It is fairly likely that the mode actuator has gone out. It controls the direction the air flows when you turn the dial. It is basically a motor on a door inside the heater case. It is a fairly common problem with a lot of GM cars.

Has your battery ever leaked? It it has, could be the vacuum line.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but if the sensor under the nose is defective it could hinder its operation. I know when mine was bad my air con light would blink and the air conditioning wouldnt work. My sensor read 31 degrees as the outsde temp when in fact it was 80 last summer! Sorry I re read the post! I miss understood!
