[Z06] a DIFFERENT question about the %$@*% BSMs...

in the new QS with the BSMs in the picture? This picture appears in ALL Vette/Z06 brochures as well as the cover of the Z06 Product Info booklet. Nomex On HarleyB(Z)

Forget that pic Harley... You see all the Z06 ads in the mags with the QS in the desert? All hardcore super cool pics... and not ONE BSM. Even though one can argue that is because there are no trees in the desert (had to add that one in thar RAT
)Check out Chevys Z06 section... No BSMs on a Z06 http://www.chevrolet.com/corvette/cor12_z06/
Another point... Anyone got the 2001 Corvette catalog with the color scheme copying their desert photo ads? Again, no BSMs on the any of the Z06s. I have the catalog in front of me. The Z06 that you depict... in the Z06 brochure they printed in late 2000. Old news.
And finally, the smoking gun... The Daytona winning, LeMans winning C5Rs... NO BSMS! Aerodynamically restrictive and good for loss of hp

I rest my case.

The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Even the model car companies are using BSMs on their products. They didn't have to. It is harder to sculpt the original, and harder to mold the final product. It DOES protect against chips from other 1/18th scale cars when their doors are opened!! HarleyB
Come on Harley, Time to fess up... Upon discovery, I present... Exhibit THREE!

   Harley's OWN model. And look, NO BSMS!
The Real Deal. Not a cheapie here.
Let's see... if I were a toy manufacturer and wanted to make a Z06 model, do I go all the way and spend money on all new molds and do it RIGHT or do I take the molds off last years Coupe and Vert and just add a top and save $$$. I think I want to make money so I'll do the later.
Like all good Perry Mason stories, time for you to break down and admit defeat. I rest my case.

I agree with you don527, although I do need to point out one add'l thing about all those photos.
It looks like the cars are all dropped over an inch!!!!. If you compare those photos to your car, it looks like they General lowered that car at least an inch.
I vote for no BSMs, but RAT does have a point about tree protection.

..but as you can see... IT IS NOW TOO LATE!!!
