[Z06] 02 Steering Changes?

02 Steering Changes?
The Aug issue of C&D claims the turning diameter of the 02 is 2.1 ft smaller than that of the 01. Anyone know if that is true? I haven't read about that anywhere else. If it is true, would it be hard to mod an 01 to get the smaller turning diameter? I am trying to weigh the options of buying an 01 now or ordering an 02. Thoughts?

I read the same thing, but I am thinking that the shorter radius is on Z06 both years, as my 2001 Z06 seems really tighter turning in parking lots than I expected. Sometimes car mags repeat the same improvements in subsequent years. Humm, kinda reminds me of the 1982 Car and Driver which states how much stiffer and tighter the chassis is on the then new 82 Camaros. Haven't we heard that about evey new generation??
