Default Torn rubber seal

Anyone out there know anything about saving a torn rubber seal on a 98 convertible? It is the one that surrounds the windshield and it is torn where the top sits on top of it on the drivers side. I was hoping there is a way to glue this with special glue without having to replace the whole seal. ($400 ouch!) Any of you officianado's please stand up.

Don't want to sound stupid but I'm assuming this hardens like glue.

Nah... you can get stuff that will stay soft and rubbery. Haven't used it on the Vette but it has worked pretty well on some other stuff.
