good news. the only mods i have planned for the 'vert is 1.8 rockers to complement what's already done and 4.10 gears.
i don't need a 'vert with a 170mph top speed.
go to the Westcoastcorvette.com web site, and scroll through their "scrapbook" section. They have a chart of various gears at various speeds for c5's and Z06 trannys, auto and 6sp.

I am guessing it would be around 1800 -1900 RPm though. I usually cruise down the road at 70-75 and run around 1700-1800 rpm in mine.
I have to agree. Best mod that I have ever done to the car and well worth the money
What kind of 0 to 60 and 1/4 improvements can you get from going to 4.10's from say a 3.42? I'm looking for some mods and want to get the most bang for the buck.

4.10's should have come stock in this car. I agree that 80 mph is around 2100 rpms......and on my 500 mile round trip to Vegas a couple of weeks ago I averaged 24.9 mpg. Most of the trip was between 80 and 90.....but there were one or two "simulated" runs to 150 (kph or mph...can't remember ) "somewhere" along the way......

Totally depends on how you can hook up.....I wouldn't even want to guess a number. I really don't think there is any doubt 4.10's are the best bang for the buck for acceleration improvements though (other than nitrous of course....and some of us have both ).....

My friend (Taaz024) got about .4 consistently from 3:90's - 12.6 to 12.2 from his 98 with vararam, headers, HF cats, Mike Norris tune, corsa Indy's. How he gets these times from his basically stock car I can't say but I've seen the time slips.
I'm still breaking in my 3:90's installed last week, but I can tell you, it feels like the car lost 500 lbs - I cannot believe how much more powerful it feels. I should have track times on 2-19-06.
