I use a pair of wrestling shoes - thin sole helps with pedal feel.

Yeah, I know I'm a dork for wearing them all the time :o , but with a mn6 car, it made a huge difference to me!
Just got my Adidas/Goodyear in red to go with my Torch Red. Love driving in them. Even comfortable ******** pylons!

I got them just becuase I thought they looked KOOL! LOL! But, I have driven in regular sneakers, and work boots, and the shoes sure make driving a 6 speed much better! Don't knock them till you try and compare the difference!
They are not ment for long walks and the like. They have no cushioned insole and the like. For driving they are very NICE though! Foot placement and feel is excellent!

The shoes I have on right now are just fine.
