I am ready to purchase a used Z06. I am wondering what the differences and improvements are between the 2002, 2003, and 2004 model years. If the 2004 has many imporvements over the earlier years. I would stop looking at the 02 and 03 model years. If there are just cosmetic changes such as colors, I will continue to look at all three years.

Thank you for all the information, sincerely appreciated. I bought a 2003 Z06 black, red mon interior, 3100 miles, for $36,900, at a Chevy dealer today. They gave me the previous owners name & number for any questions I might have (with his permission). They couldn't have been more helpful or nicer. The dealer was O'Keefe Chevy in Ipswich Mass. (978)356-2964. I highly recommend this dealer, and the sales person Andy. I was also impressed that the owner came into Andy's office to congratulate me. The whole deal was a very positive experience, and I think a very fair deal. The car is absolutely in mint condition inside and out.

you can identify an '03 over the previous models w/ the introduction of the pass side child seat provisions and the raised headliner, all '03's have the silver badges

also last year for Electron Blue and QuickSilver, replaced w/ Lemans Blue and Machine Silver in '04

For those years I would say grab the best price and lowest mileage car you can find. The differences are not significant enough that it matters.
