I've scene a few threads on HDI conversions. Has anyone figured out a way to use the flip ups but convert to HDI? I love the flips but of course want to upgrade to HDI.
dyslexic? H.I.D. (High Intensity Discharge), and yes you can add them to stock lights, but the beam pattern is not great. Not-Mee sells projectors in the stock housings. You can also get some European Ecode lights and aftermarket HIDS (H4), the beam pattern is great and less expensive.

the beam pattern in the H4 lights with HID sucks.
I didn't really know how bad until I installed Not-Mee's HID headlights.

here's an example.....
H4 HID
Vette-HID
I agree, that looks impressive, but in the first pic, it looks like the lights are on the wrong side-isn't the up angle sweep suppose to be on the right side? BTW, my cutoff line looks much sharper on mine, they may be aimed differently, sorry no pics
those are the e code H4 housings, I got them from LAPD.
that pic is taken 25ft from the garage door, when you get closer the cutoff starts to look sharper and you can see that it goes up on the right. but when you back away the light starts to flood the area, they put a lot of light in front of the car but they don't focus the light nowhere near as good as the HID projectors in the Vette-HID housings.
here's a good example of how the light floods out from the HID's in the H4 housings, look at my house numbers on top of the garage, you can read them easily in the top pic (H4 HID), you can't see them in the bottom pic (vette- HID).
