Who here has experience (good or bad) with roadside assistance when it comes to towing your lowered (or just low) vehicle/vette? I've been using Allstate's Motor Club roadside assistance for years but they have become increasingly useless in general but especially so when it comes to trying to get my vette towed. I'm thinking the next logical choice is going to be AAA but wanted to run a check through CF first to see if anyone has any experiences with any other companies that would warrant checking into.
Kinda off topic but I read recently that alot of insurers are counting roadside calls as claims....total but they are just an FYI for ya when you go looking for new insurance...
as for towing I have always called the company myself and make sure they understand the car is lowered....I have one company on speed dial who I know comes prepared for such instances....you can request a company...you don't have to take whoever they decide to send. It may take longer as the towing companies usually work on a rotation basis per contract BUT I would rather wait for someone I know will do the right thing as opposed to hoping the people who show up have a clue. I have found that if you tell them your car is lowered they will make sure the have wood pieces 2x6 or 2x8's to help with getting on the flatbed.
