Default Protection?????

Hi, I'm going to be driving my vette a long distance and wanted to see what you would recommend to protect from road hazzards , I don't have a bra for the front, but wanted to know about other alternatives, ex. racer's tape???
Thanks,
Tony

the Cleartastic is the way to go if you don't want a bra....as for bras..the opinions are like...well you know...FWIW I have the GM bra and love, recommend it....others will disagree...

I just bought a bra for my car. It will only be used on longer trips and runs. $99.00 compared to $400-$500 for 3M clear bra.

condoms- you never know what she may have.

oh, that was not what you meant.

stay away from trucks and keep a good distance from cars that may throw rocks up. this is the way those paint chips usually happen to your hood.

have a great trip!

I don't know about alternatives, but many here get the GM bra and are quite happy with it, I think it sells for around a 100. I got the colormatched Colgan bra and really like it, I just use it for trips.

This is key! Use the bra for trips only and take it off as soon as possible. Long use with it on can cause rubbing damage after a while, but for the trips it should be just fine. To feel even more at ease, put some good sealant and several coats of wax on which will help protect as well.

My recommendation - get the GM bra. It is reasonably priced, fits very well and protects the front end.

Thanks for the info....I was actually thinking of using Gafers tape to put on the front and the mirrors..and then take if off when I get home...I heard racers use this on their cars so protect from rock chips......
