On my regular drives I'm amazed at how many times i pass up opportunites to stick my foot into it only to round a curve and spot an LEO. Last night I was putting the pedal down on the 241 toll road when I came up on slower traffic and backed down. Low and behold I was hit with a spotlight...now running around 80 only to be passed by a CHP two lanes over. What a break I got...amazing luck and too cool of him. I backed off the throttle and he slowed way down letting me pass. Heart now in stomach I thought I was toast when he flippped a u-turn and took off. Anyone else experience the same sense??
A couple of friends and I were out on a cruise 2 weeks ago. Well out in the country we were crsuiing about 75MPH when we crested a hill and I saw a State cruiser sitting beside the road with radar. We slowed down but it was obviously too late. As we passed the cruiser he hit his lights and siren for just a second to let us know he owned us but didn't pull out.
I got stopped by a LEO. I thought about running. I did not. After it was done she let me go. Not even a warning. I was 65 in 45. As I drove away another LEO wa sitting off the edge of the road about a mile ahead.
I was going slightly over and came upon a cop coming towards me, he put his lights and siren on and pointed at me while passing me by. He turned them off and kept driving away, I got the message and thanks for the warning only.

Same thing happened to me a couple of weeks ago, no siren just the flash of the blue lights. I was thankful also as my heart was beating around a 100.
Ive been driving muscle cars for 45 years, Ive never received a ticket. I have been stopped about ten times, about 6 of those times, it was a license and registration check, only to be qualified by the LEO that he wanted to check out the car. The other 4 times were with a warning only. I have had that feeling many times over the years only to find a LEO lurking up the road or around the bend.
