Default $4,000!!!

My Z06 already has kooks longtube headers, borla stingers, halltech intake, and other minor things such as beru plugs, msd wires, throttle body bypass, etc. I have $4,000 to spend and I want every penny to go into HP. What do you guys got for me? Shoot me some suggestions!

What kind of setup do you want? Street/Strip/AutoX/RoadCourse?

Go with an A&A Vortech kit, HUGE power potential, the install is supossed to be pretty straight forward. FI - the power is always there when you need it.

I would LOVE to go with a vortech kit from Andy. I have heard a lot about his work. However, his vortech kit installed with a re-tune will run me about $8,000!!!

X-pipe, cams, lightened flywheel (if you don't mind a little noise), 170* thermostat, dyno tuning, and a nitrous kit.

If it were me, I'd get a solid set of heads, a nice cam, springs, and install/tune. You can probably get there if you buy a set of heads used from someone.

Heads 1500
Cam 375
Springs 250
install 1200
tune 450

TOTAL 3775

You will need a little cash for gaskets wtc etc etc..
This should net you some SERIOUS power..

He could find a kit for about $3500 and do the install if he's handy. He can find gauges and a fuel pump for under $500. But I maybe wrong. I have seen a few kits for that price. Just takes time.

You think he needs heads with a Z06 and no major mods?

Sure why not...He's already got an intake and LT headers. The only thing he's really missing is cat backs, and with the Z06 exhaust thats not even really necessary.

A solid Heads/Cam setup will net him more power than ANY other combo, short of slapping N20 on it. And it will be 100% streetable.

Just for the record, I also already have an x-pipe with high flow cats, 160 T-stat, C6 Z06 shifter, and a Set of black Z06 motorsports on nitto 555R drag radials (going to be used for first time at the track on saturday)

Got me thinking.......AFR 205cc Heads, LG G5X3 cam, Fast 90MM intake manifold and throttle body, nice tune......what do you guys think? what kind of power do you think I would be making? I know I would be going over $4,000 but......You're only young once!

Now your talkin...

FWIW, Even though I'm going with a set of AFR 225'son my current build, I dont really think it would be entirely necessary for your setup. There have been some pretty big leaps in the recent months with LS based heads. If I were you, I would go with a set of Darts, Edelbrocks, etc etc. Theres no reason to drop 2300 on a set of heads when you can spend 1700 and get 99% of the same thing.
