● If you hate DRLs you can pull the e-brake ONE click and they go off.
Above is the info I got from http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...7&forum_id=103 Secrets of the C5 section. Has anyone tried this one? It doesn't seem to work for me. I have a 2k mn6 hardtop. Are there any different conditions that has to be met? Once i start my car with the e-brake engaged, the car does not have the DRL on but when I disengage it to drive... it goes on again. Then it does not go off when I engage the ebrake again. Is this just with my car or anyone else doing the same thing?
I also found this to be untrue in my car. Maybe something wrong with my e-brake (sensor)?????
● If you have a 6-speed car you can pop the trunk when the car is running by lifting the e-brake.

I'm glad this doesn't work... I always set my 3-brake just before turning the car off. I never noticed my trunk being open

Once the car is started and you release the brake the light comes on. If you want to use that trick you will have to release the brake to the 1-click point and not all the way.

I think you may have misinterpreted this. It doesn't actually open your trunk, it allows you to open the trunk via the normal means while the car is running.

Easiest solution is to pull the A2 fuse. It inhibits the DRLs. Theres a minor issue with the approach light function but no big deal.
Agree 100%. Pull out the #2 fuse under the hood. Done. Turn signals still function and everything. Best thing is, you can just put it back in if you don't like it.
OK..If you can't "see" em, why does it bother you?
I'm thinking that they are on for a reason...maybe so someone might see you who would otherwise not see you?
I'm willing to sacrifice the lights for being seen.
Taxi drivers in NYC survive by just focusing on whats in front of you rather than whats going on your side or behind you. If it saves you the aggravation of stomping on your brakes or hitting someone..why not leave em on?
