[Z06] Need Tune in Jacksonville FL Area
I got my car Dyno'ed yesterday and found that it is running rich. I was able to get 347HP and feel that I might squeeze another 10 or so with a tune. I am stock otherwise but plan to do some stuff soon...
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hope you aren't in a dyno/tune dead zone like I am here in Tallahassee. The closest place I have heard of, and it's only rumors, is about two hours away. I heard there is someone in Valdosta, GA that does this stuff, but I don't have any contact info on who it might be.
When you find one let me know. Im in Jax also. I havnt been able to find anyone except Mustang guys. I know there are a couple great ones in Atlanta, but I dont have anybody I can trust here.
Are you a member of a local vette club? I wouldnt mind joining one.
Good luck in your search

Not a member in any clubs...I got it Dyno'ed at HP Performance in OP. Nice crew but any tuning, etc is primarily Mustang.
I heard that there were places to tune it in the Orlando area which is probably about the same distance as Valdosta.
I will let you know if I find anything.
Hey, I was looking for something else and found this that may be of interest to you:
BTW, thanks for the link to that Panama City tuner. I'll have to check it out!
Hey Guys!
Mike Norris/Next Level Performance in Orlando is *outstanding* - They have full tuning and dyno services. They've also done dozens of H/C, full motors, superchargers for many CF members.
I'm down here in Vilano Beach/St. Augustine, so I might be a little closer to Orlando, that Jax, but I still think it's closer than Tallahassee and kind of a well known shop (they're even a CF vendor).
I've done some of my own tuning FWIW, hehehe, not super, but a lot of fun! There happens to be a dyno right in St. Augustine, up on Highway 16 about 15 minutes from my house!
Take care, good luck!

I found a tuner over in Panama City, so it's about a 2 hour or so drive over there for me. But from their website, they seem to be mostly a Mustang shop. Would it be better holding out for a shop that specializes in vettes? I sure don't want to pull in there and have some guy say "Gee, I've always wanted to tune up a vette!"
That would be a little scary...
The guys you pointed me to seem to have one that does Ford and one that does GM. They installed a Nitros Kit on a Vette last month that sounds like it may be fun...

I'm in Jax Fl also. There is a tuner in Orlando Next Level Performance a Mike Norris. I had mine done there and I will get my long tubes on this mon with a readjust for them and redyno. All he does is Vettes and some Camaro and GTO's. Lots go there. I'm not normally in this forum just looking at what some Z06 stuff says.
From the emails I've gotten from that shop in Panama City, they seem to be experienced with vettes too. Price they quoted is $695:
After I get my headers installed I might run on over there. Or heck, maybe I can get the wife to take the pickup truck with the headers thrown in the back and let them install the headers as well. That way we can cruise around in Panama City for several hours instead of my having to sit in the waiting room the entire time. Just sitting around waiting gets me frazzled sometimes thinking about the stuff I need to be doing instead of just reading magazines.....
The price on the tune with up to 3 hours on the dyno, data-logging with dual wide band oxygen sensors and data-logging of the vehicles PCM, and the flash tuning is $695.00.
