I need new rubber. I love the looks of the Y2k wheels and I think they are available in crome 17X9.5 front and 18X10.5 rear. Checking the Nitto rubber 275/40/17 front are almost dead on the OEM size. The rears are available in 305/35/18, also almost dead on. Does anyone run these? Any problems or concerns I should be aware of?
Thanks, Mark
Sully C5, You have my ride! Mag Red Convertable! LOOKS GREAT. Only diff is mine has a black top. I wanted to keep the OEM 17 & 18, but nice to see you have 18 & 18 Mark

I run similar sizes except in an 18-19 combo. I run 18x9 with 275-35x18 in front and 19x10 with 305-30x19 in back with no issues. My car is also lowered on stock bolts and everything clears just fine.

OOPS After reading your bio, NEVER MINE! There might be just a little difference. NIGHT & DAY? Mark
Sully, any problems with the 285-18s on the front....
Because I have CCW track wheels that have hub extenders to widen the track for racing, it is a tight fit. I had to remove my SL Bra mounting brackets. Also I have to be careful on very tight turns.
So a 305/35/18 tire will fit ok on a thin spoke 10.5" rim. What about a 315/35/18 tire? Any problems on a 10.5" rim or are there any wider wheels abailable in the thin spoke? Mark

I'd suggest using the tire manufacturer's recomendations on tire to wheel sizes. They can and do differ from Manufacturer to Manufacturer.
